A Financial Crisis
Sep. 6th, 2008 12:28 pmN did in fact book us on the tour to Treasury Department this morning and not last weekend. We woke up at nearly 9am with dark gloomy skies. It felt like it was still 6am and the sun had forgotten to wake up! Tropical Storm Hannah is passing through. I stumbled out of bed when the phone rang.
It was the person we were to meet at the Treasury Department for the tour this morning calling. She shared that they are suffering from a financial crisis this morning and therefore had to cancel the tour. She explained that it was in regards to the Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. In addition because of the approaching tropical storm the building has been closed off. Wow.. last week it was Condy Rice and this weekend a financial crisis! I turned on the news and there it was. The news just released. US government to take control of Fannie, Freddie-papers!
What a morning! So now we are off to go see some friends.
