1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? Pay for my own way to across the continent trip

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and 3. Will you make more for next year? well, last year it wasn't a resolution, it was something I just had to do that was completing my MBA and I did. This year I made a few simple ones: I should exercise more, take care of my body & mind, read more books, stay up with the news. and a few that I don't want to mention in public

4. Did anyone close to you die? no

5. What countries did you visit? India, the Netherlands, and Italy

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? better pay amongst a few other things

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? September 11 - graduation day!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Successfully defending my thesis and hearing such a positive response from the judges of my future career achievements

9. What was your biggest failure? Thankfully i have no major ones!

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? well, i suffered from very low blood pressure during the stressful times to a point where I couldn't stand anymore. :-S

11. What was the best thing you bought? swiss ball & light weights - i just need to start using them!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? my parents and sis for being so supportive

13. Whose behavior made you appalled? a former colleague's

14. Where did most of your money go? FOOD!! :D

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? trip to Europe!!

16. What songs will always remind you of 2006? Bon Jovi's Story of My Life

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder? happier
b) Skinnier or fatter? fatter
c) Richer or Poorer? poorer yet richer in different ways!

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? read more books, more exercise...but really it was a great year overall.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? procrastinating, being afraid of things

20. Did you fall in love in 2006? with free time after September 11 - definitely :D

21. How many one-night stands? nada

22. What was your favorite TV program? I have only recently rediscovered TV, been watching regularly CSI (original is my favourite), House, Grey's Anatomy

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? nope

24. What was the best book you read? a tie between Swami & Friends, The Bachelor of Arts and James Patterson & Andrew Gross The Jester

25. What was your greatest musical discovery? none really

26. What did you want and get? i wanted to be done with my institutional educational pursuits and I did

27. What did you want and not get? hmmm...nothing enough to mention

28. What was your favorite film of this year? don't really remember

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I returned to office after my Europe trip on my birthday! I turned 29 years. Celebrated with my colleagues at office. Boss was nice on the day and let us (my other colleague who also went to graduation) just play around the day! After I came home and slept!!

30. What's one thing that would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?a beautiful job offer

32. What kept you sane? my parents & sis, friends here and across the globe (thanks to the internet as well)!

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? didn't follow

34. What political issue stirred you the most? the recent Iraq's situation, the environmental issues that were brought up. But really 2006 I had put aside any of this stuff! I was on a mission

35. Who did you miss? My friends in Hawai'i, my cousin brothers

36. Who were the best new people you met? [livejournal.com profile] bezigebij & Anelise (one of my professor's wife) whom we met in Holland! It was very nice indeed!! & my friend's hubby in Rotterdam!

37. What do you look forward to in 2007? trying more things, looking for new opportunities

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006? You cannot control everything around you. Sometimes things happen because they do. You plan ahead, do things right away and procastination is no friend. And don't be afraid of completing things. There will always be new challenges awaiting you.
