Winter is soon going to be upon us. And I am going to be sad. I go crazy without the sun, without the warmth. And sadder still sitting in our computer room... it has no windows and it just looks sad. It's a gorgeous day outside and these are days I wish I had a laptop so I could sit in our balcony and do work. Some time ago my uncle had shared to get an indoor garden light, get a big pot, put random seeds - flowering, vegetable, whatever and have plants grow indoors. I think I will do just that. And the wall is bare. There's this one photo N took in Namibia of the sunset and it's absolutely spectacular. And then there's the one of the beach... it seems I now know how to decorate our least liked rooms. Just the thought of that is making my mind feel at peace. Now I need to get that done.
The composting idea... is still in idea stage. Worms... eeek...worms... Maybe D can be in charge of handling worms. I did read up on the kobayashi thing but then you need space without trees to let the mulch it sit for another two weeks before it's usable or something. Then there is this $200+ machine that will sit in your kitchen and make compost..... but that kind of seems counterintuitive of composting being economical, and non-fossil fuel consuming thing, right? But hey, no worms involved! And it's small enough for an apartment. Maybe I will keep this for 2016 project. I guess it's not a maybe, it's most likely will be a 2016 project.
Diwali is next week and I am getting excited! Am as before going to make murukkus and going to try making a new sweet. I always end up taking the easy way out making semia payasam or have N make carrot halwa - but they are our favourite sweets. And then is Thanksgiving weekend - my favourite time of the year and we have it all planned out with friends!
Maybe this winter won't be so bad.
