Book: Gone Girl

I needed something light. I needed something to read but not something to depress. And it happened that Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn was available as an e-book when I was browsing. And I got it. And oh my! Just wow!! I loved it and hated it. How exciting and how dull! (although it wasn't really dull but there were times when I felt it was just tooooooo long!!) How clever and gripping!! I do believe though she should have ended it two chapters early. It would still leave one stumped but a nicer effect would have had. My opinion anyhow.

The writing was magnificent!! Truly. I hear the movie is great! Just maybe after I flush out the psychosis of the book, I might get the movie and watch it along with N. lol... Although, I don't know if it's something you want to watch with your spouse?! what craziness!

Watch the movie...Ben Affleck was at his best...you will love it.

you know as I was reading the book and saw the movie cover, I do think they did a great job casting him as the role! Seems like a great fit!! Definitely will watch! :)

I thought that book was totally depressing but I did really like it. Didn't find it boring at all! I did listen to it on audiobook though.

I liked the movie, but not as much as the book. It was a good adaptation. And I watched it with my spouse!

I was being sarcastic about the spouse thing since the whole story puts the two against each other! ha! :) I think it's a movie we both would like...not the sappy romance story...

Gone Girl was a super-good vacation read: fast-paced and engaging without being too heavy.

They did the ending much...differently in the movie. It'd be interesting to see what you thought of it.

Will get the movie some time.... maybe in the fall after in-laws leave!
