I know the day will come when I will ask for a few minutes of quiet time from D. But I am so curious what all stories D is telling us in her own language. She tells them with all hand gesturing and facial expressions to boot. Poor thing must be so frustrated that we don't understand!

:D True, true. Daniel is using the same (or very similar) word for multiple things, which makes understanding him relatively difficult despite his vast vocabulary. I think almost half of his tantrums are caused by him being frustrated of us not understanding him.

Have you thought about using baby sign?
They can think words before they can actually say them...but they can sign them!

I know you already do some ASL / baby signs with D... are you adding more ASL vocab to her storytelling arsenal? We've stopped learning new signs now that T can talk, but there are times when we can see her frustration when we give her puzzled looks (esp difficult with our bi/multilingual kids -- harder to figure out their words if we don't know what language they're in!)
