hehe.. i learnt it when I was 9 years I believe. They found one with a pumpkin base and so it was rather "light". It was though for me still too bulky and heavy!
I stopped when I was 12 and so don't remember much of it. :S One regret in my life! It was a beautiful handmade sitar as well. sigh.
