Mangos in July?

Will there be mangos still in season in July, in Bangalore by any chance?

I went to the supermarket today and as I walked into the fruit section I could just smell the fresh aromas of an alphonso! Oh the sweetness, the freshness. The memories it kicks me back to of the days we used to pluck it off the trees & eat it there and then, with juices flowing down to the elbows and later getting scolded by mothers for not washing the fruits... oh the little joys that made life so much fun! And then one look at the price tag kicks you back to reality and keeps you moving through the rest of the grocery shopping in a daze of disappointment...

and the aromas of the mango still linger in the back of my mind, and my mouth still waters and craves to bite into the succulent fruit that is a mango. sigh.....

And a special request to those in India, although I might not really need to ask, but in a land of plenty, we take things for granted. Could you eat one thinking of me!? :P

I have been picking up alphonsos by the crates every week from the APMC wholesale market in New Bombay!
The next lot is due tomorrow.

crates?? oh dear... don't tell me crates.. I was talking about ONE, which is usually how many we cave into & buy EACH season! I go through this every year it seems. It's too bad I don't return to India during the mango season! Should have done better planning!! hehehe...
