kindergarten days
Feb. 8th, 2007 10:36 pmI just don't get paid enough to tolerate adults whining, bitching, and throwing tantrums. It was amusing for a while but it just gets damn tiring. Next time someone asks me where I work, my response would be at kindergarten. And this is one more and major reason I believe that there never will be peace on earth and never will we live as a one big happy family. Forget hope. We actually never grow up, we just grow old. Kindergarten behaviour just changes names and titles such as office politics, bullying changes to subordination, tantrums changes to customer feedback. But really the root of the behaviour is not much different.
We just make up all these rules and live in this so called delusion we like to call civilisation just to look all pretty. At least when we were actually in Kindergarten the rules were fun, most of the time.
Added: hmmm in 2006, Honolulu, HI ranked 1st in Quality of Life in the USA, and is in the top 30 in the world! So, why did I move??? World-wide Quality of Living 2006 Survey with "Asia working the longest hours, almost 50 days more per year than Western Europeans." UBS Prices and Earnings Report 2006. If you come in with US$ Kuala Lumpur is amongst the cheapest. But low and behold, I don't get paid in US$!! sigh...

Date: 2007-02-13 03:36 pm (UTC)My study loan agency wants their money back despite that I'm still a student, citing among other reasons that I earn so much money. Yeah, when you convert my USD income to SEK it's big! But I don't get to spend it in Sweden :P
Funny how even global organizations like UBS forget about that not all of us come from the same place going to other places for the same reason... The majority of the Earth doesn't get paid in USD.
