D and storytelling
Jul. 14th, 2013 11:32 amD has been wanting to tell us the stories these days, and recently at bedtime! It has been so much fun! A story she has been wanting to hear before bed has been the 3 bears & Goldilocks. She has been hearing it from me for the last month if not longer. Few nights ago when N took her to bed, she had asked for the story but she knew he didn't know so she said she will tell HIM the story and go to bed.
I overheard standing outside. And it was so much fun to see her make it her own!
Last night I got to hear it myself and got it on tape! The whole thing! 12 minute long story. She rehashed the main story as I have been telling her but she made the last bit her own. I added a little addition towards the end. I have stated explicitly how Goldilocks goes into a stranger home without parents' consent/knowledge and eats porridge without knowing if there are nuts in it or not (and breaks baby chair & sleeps in bed, etc.)! She finds it all intriguing. So, the ending is that Goldilocks runs home and then mama bear calls up Goldilocks to inform her mom of what happened. Goldilocks mom then shares the problem and gets help in solving the problem. My story, she helps mom to make some porridge for hungry baby bear, they go over to fix the chair, and make the bed. The baby bear and Goldilocks get to play together and go home to bed.
D changed the last bit that Daddy bear calls up and tells the mom what happened. Goldilocks decides she will make porridge at home and eat it at home and not at a stranger's home. Then she will go over to fix the chair with mom and make the bed.
Hubby and I have been enjoying listening to her stories.
