cold?

It's officially cold...no freezing. When I awoke it was 29F (-1.6C). It's stil wavering around 0C now. brrrrrrrrr... I found that heading to the gym for a workout in the morning keeps me warm for at least 2 hours. What a great motivation to keep at it! Saves our electricity (heater - which hasn't been turned on yet) at home and utilises our maintanence fee - there's a gym in the building! Day before yesterday it was warmer  7C! I actually went jogging on a trail outside! Not  bad for one who thought 13C was freezing cold!

Is this going to be your first real winter in a while?

This will be our first real winter since June/July 2005 and even then I wouldnt really call Australian winters "real" when you compare them to what they get over here.

We also dont have our heating going just yet - but then again we live in Texas and we're still getting 20C something days!

20C sounds so warm now! It's though getting warmer this week - they forecast and hope they are right!

Yes, this is my first winter since winter 1991 in Rome where it only rarely waivers around 0C!
