Superrrrrrrrr Bowl!

I never understood American Football. Mostly because I never showed the interest to learn it. My familiarity of American Football was the Pro Bowl held annually in Honolulu (Hawaii). Well, not so much the football but the block parties we had for the game that came up. I believe it was January 1997, when I first went to one and stood in line for over an hour plus to help get an autograph from some player I had no idea who it was at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.

So last night was the Superbowl XLII between the New England Patriots and New York Giants. I knew the states but nothing about the teams. And neither does my husband. But we thought this to be a great opportunity to learn a bit more about this sport that has created such a craze! So we invited a friend over and he helped us guide through the basic rules and we watched the game at our home.

Another reason the game is popular is also because of its advertisements. Yes! Some of the best advertisements are played during this time. Well, if it costs $3 million to air the ad (not counting the cost of the actual ad), it'd better be good! But I have to say I was somewhat disappointed.

I liked the Budweiser's Clydesdale "Rocky" ad... ok I just think these horses are majestic looking...

And this:

But ads aside, the game itself was great!!
